Reasons to Visit Grand XIV Naruto Golf & Spa Resort

Although there are many attractions in Japan, one location that you should definitely visit as a tourist is Shikoku Island. More specifically a northeastern town called Naruto. Although hardcore anime fans might find the town underwhelming and not exactly what they expect, they too would change their mind, once they see all it can offer.

Much like the name suggests, for those who know a little Japanese, Naruto is a city famous after its swirling whirlpools. The city is also a starting point of the famous Shikoku Pilgrimage. This is a journey around the Shikoku island with the idea to visit over 80 temples associated with a monk called Kobo Daishi. Here we will focus on the reasons you should visit  Grand XIV Naruto Golf & Spa Resort that is located in this city.

Great Place for Golfers

If something is called Golf & Spa, you have a pretty good idea who is the target audience for the place, when it comes to tourists. This is a great place for you to enjoy your favorite sport, as it features 36 holes or two whole golf courses. The layout is beautiful, and you will be surrounded by lush nature throughout the whole game. There are also multiple competitions or events that take place here, therefore those who wish to compete against other players can do so. All you need to do is a lookup in the event calendar when those competitions will take place, and book your stay at the lodge during that time frame.

Pleasant Stay

In addition to great opportunities for exercise and sport, the lodge is a very tranquil place to stay. You can have a nice meal in the lounge while enjoying the surrounding greenery. There are rooms that can accommodate different numbers of guests and that have all the same amenities you would find at a top tier hotel. Moreover, you can have some fun whenever you feel like it if you go to a karaoke room. And finally, there is a shop there as well, in case you want to buy some souvenirs for the friends back at home.

Finally, since you came to Naruto, you need to see the main attraction or the whirlpools. These are created as a result of the moon’s pull and flow of tides.

One of the best places to enjoy this natural phenomenon is through a glass bridge that is around 45 meters above the ocean. Also, if you don’t mind water splashing all over you, there is a way to get closer to the whirlpools, and that is by boarding one of the sightseeing boats. Bear in mind though that the whirlpools need specific conditions to be created, so you can expect to see them twice a month. They are influenced by both full moon and low moon, so you will have to plan your stay around those events in case you wish to see them.

Of course, there are many other things you can see on the island and in Japan in general. It is one of the most technologically advanced nations, and they have amazing cuisine. So, it’s up to you to make the best out of your stay and soak in as many different experiences as possible.
